Todd Mac found out about me via mutual friends and after looking at some of the guitars I made, he decided to drop by for a visit to my studio & shop. To my amazement, Todd tours with a band called "Alter Eagles", an amazing Eagles tribute band - Google them and you will be amazed too! Todd plays all of the Joe Walsh parts and had some prety good ideas when it came to putting a guitar together for him. I ended up inlaying the "dreamcather cow skull" on the 5th & 6th frets of this guitar and his band's name on the 11th & 12th frets. One thing I was NOT expecting on this guitar build, was the density of the quilted maple carved-top I had to carve. The top ended up being the hardest top I had ever carved and felt like I was trying to cut through titanium! The quilt though being incredibly dense, was the largest quilt I had worked on and one of the most awesome bookmatches and figuring I have ever seen on a guitar. Although the photos are cool for you all to see, photography never shows how cool they actually are in person - photography is unable to show the "flash" on the shells used in the inlays when you move your head around, seeing the colors change, etc. Looking forward to seeing this guitar hit the stage!
